What is eBakkie and how does it work?

eBakkie connects people who need to move goods with verified bakkie and truck owners across South Africa. You tell us where to collect and where to deliver, choose a vehicle size, and a nearby driver accepts your booking and gets it done.
Customers can book from the website (www.ebakkie.co.za) or the eBakkie Android app. Drivers use the eBakkie app to receive ride requests, navigate, and track their earnings.
How a booking flows
- You enter pickup and drop-off points and pick a vehicle class (from a half-ton bakkie up to larger trucks).
- You get an upfront fare estimate before you confirm.
- The nearest available drivers are offered your booking — the first to accept is on the way.
- You track the driver live on the map, chat or call them, and pay cash or online.
- When the goods arrive, the trip completes and you can rate your driver.
Get the app
The eBakkie app for Android is on Google Play — search "eBakkie" or use the badge in the footer of this page. Booking from the app is faster, and drivers must use the app to go online and accept work.
